Picture
Normal Fee: $1,800. Funding details available at the Funding page.
Course Overview

The 16PF is a well-known clinical instrument commonly used by psychologists, therapists and counselors worldwide.

This two-day workshop is specially designed to deepen the skills of Clinicians who have experience in using the 16PF in their clinical practice. Teaching, discussion and sharing will be framed within the clinical context, ie, the participants’ workplace setting.

Leading in a dynamic, interactive, and learner-centric way, Dr Thom Needham & Dr Mandy Cao will dive deep into the meaning of individual and combined scales, cross-cultural application, noting important literature, research &  psychometric properties, practising interpretations and gaining tips on the empathic use of 16PF findings with clients. The contribution of clinicians to the workplace and coaching through the use of 16PF will be discussed.

The workshop will also cover the use of computer-generated reports such as the Basic Score Report (BSR), Couples Counseling Report (CCR) and the Psych Evaluation Personality Questionnaire Interpretation (PEPQI).

At the end of the course, participants will achieve the following:
  • Increased understanding and appreciation of the scientific foundation of the 16PF
  • Increased knowledge and skills in objective yet empathic use of measurement
  • Interpretation with ‘recipes’ for behavior derived from scale interaction
  • Advance from single scale to simultaneous multiple scale interpretation
  • Become knowledgeable in how to conduct a post-assessment interview
  • Gain practice in 16PF advanced interpretation in small and large groups
  • Gain tips for discussing 16PF findings to inform and motivate clients for change
  • Learn how to expand your practice with 16PF application to coaching in the workplace
  • Develop a plan for continued development of 16PF interpretation skill

Important Note: Right to purchase the 16PF instrument lies with the PAN Group, owner of 16PF. This course does not certify participants to purchase 16PF .
