Dr Stephanie Soh completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours with Distinction) in 2009, and graduated with a Doctor of Clinical Psychology. She is a professional member of the Singapore Psychological Society, and is on the Singapore Register of Psychologists. Currently, she is a Senior Clinical Psychologist at Adam Road Medical Centre, a private clinic specialising in psychiatric and psychological services. Her clinical caseload comprises adolescents and adults who experience mood disorders, eating disorders and psychoses.

Dr Stephanie Soh conducts psychological assessments and delivers psychotherapy. She sees individuals across the lifespan who experience difficulties ranging from anger, stress, and adjustment issues to affective disorders, eating disorders, and personality disorders. After the initial session, the client is provided with a clinical formulation of the presenting issue which sets the stage for treatment. Stephanie’s clinical style is grounded in attachment, cognitive behavioural, psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, and schema theories. She views the client as part of a system, and occasionally sees couples and families as adjuncts to individual therapy.

Dr Stephanie Soh has worked in public and private mental health care settings. She sees her raison d’être as preventing and minimizing the pernicious effects of stress and emotional issues on all areas (health, work/school, interpersonal/family) of a person’s life.

Dr Stephanie Soh is a well-sought after speaker and trainer. Her specialty topic is eating disorders and mood disorders. She draws on her wide of clinical experience to inform the audience of high-risk profiles, prevention measures and how to support such individuals
Course Overview

Eating disorders affect people of every age, race, size, gender identity, sexual orientation and background. Children, young adults, athletes, males or female, rich or poor are not immune to disorders like bulimia, binge eating or anorexia. Although the term “eating” is in the name, eating disorders are about more than food. They’re complex mental health conditions that often require the intervention of medical and psychological experts to alter their course.

This 1-day workshop is conducted by Dr Stephanie Soh who is a clinical psychologist who specialises in eating disorders. She will help participants understand and support others who are experiencing eating disorders. Part 1 focuses on the manifestations of the different types of eating disorders. Participants will learn how these disorders develop in the individual. Part 2 discusses the interventions and plans that psychologists and caregivers can use to help the recovery process,

This 1-day workshop uses lecture, experiential exercises, role-plays and scripted interventions that will be practiced in the workshop. It has the following parts:
